The Announcements module is used to create and display announcements that can be shared with other users.

This module functions within the standard role-based security inheritance chain described in the tab designer topic. Administrative users can configure additional module settings by clicking the button.

Viewing Announcements

All users with Read permissions on the tab have the ability to view announcements. The announcements display a title, body, and optionally include a URL link to additional content.

Managing Announcements

Users with Add permissions on the tab can click the button to open the new announcement editor. Users with Edit permissions on the tab can click the button to edit an existing announcement. Be sure to click the button to save your changes when adding or editing content. Users with Delete permissions on the tab can click the button to remove the announcement from the system.

The following attributes are available in the editor:

•Title: This is the name of the announcement as it will appear to viewers.

•Body: This is the content of the announcement. HTML markup is NOT allowed.

•Read More URL: (Optional): The URL to a web page that contains additional information.
