How pasGuard works

To begin a system administrator installs and performs basic software configuration on a host or set of hosts.  Installation is a simple process that can be completed in mere minutes.

Next the application administrator uses the pasGuard graphical user interface to configure settings and security.

From here end-users can begin logging on and managing credentials.  Credentials can be assigned security on a user principal and group principal basis to invoke and revoke access to sensitive information.  pasGuard utilizes Active Directory Federation Services to secure credentials.  All passwords entered into pasGuard are encrypted and stored on a pasGuard database which is further protected by a flexible security configuration that allows administrators to leverage Windows authentication and Transparent Data Encryption.
