Range Profile Manager

Range Profile Manager is used to create, edit, and delete a Range Profile locally.

What Is A Range Profile

A Range Profile is a user created profile for use with the pasTransfer product. It consists of elements required to process a range of choice seamlessly using the pasTransfer product.  There are 4 types of range profiles: Account, General, Ledger, and Vendor.

After creation of a Range Profile, that profile can be used to Save the Range as a pasTransfer XML document of the defined range, or Send the Range to pasTransfer.

Creating A Range Profile

To create a Range Profile, first ensure that the selected mode is Create.  Changing the Transfer Type drop down box will present a creation panel which contains a list box on the left hand side and multiple tabbed pages on the right.  The tabbed pages correspond to the transfer type which is selected.  All pages will contain a profile information tab with information pertaining directly to the range profile.

Range Profile Name - The name of the range profile.

Source Range - The range of the data to be included in this range profile.  Valid ranges include "A1:B12", "$A1:$B12", "A:B", and "$A:$B".  Once a range is entered, it will be validated to ensure that the range has been entered correctly.  Upon successful validation, all columns within the range will be displayed in the list box on the left hand side.  These columns can be dragged to supported text boxes highlighted in this yellow color to utilize macros.

First Row Column Names - Selecting this checkbox will determine whether the first row of the entered range will be ignored while processing the data.  If the currently opened worksheet contains data in the first row,

Endpoint Name - The name of the desired endpoint.  This will allow pasFusion to connect to the local instance of pasTransfer or connect remotely to a different machine.

Machine Name - The name of the computer to connect to the endpoint.  The default value is the current machines name.

Source Configuration Name -  TODO - Source Configuration is not necessary.  Remove it from the range profile manager.  The source configuration will need to be a configuration set up to use pasXML.

Destination Configuration Name - The name of the destination configuration.  The configuration must be set up through the pasTransfer product.  It must also be successfully ran through at least one time to save all configuration options.

(optional) Destination File - Destination file is optional.  Selecting a destination file will override the destination file selected in the configuration.  Leaving this field blank will default to the configurations destination file.

(optional) Audit File - Audit file is optional.  Selecting an audit file will override the audit file selected in the configuration.  Leaving this field blank will default to the configurations audit file.

The remaining page tabs will be specific to the transfer type selected.  All remaining fields will accept a specific or macro-enabled value.  Dragging a range column to a macro-enabled field will create a macro in the field.
